This asynchronous course on taxonomy of freshwater benthic microalgae introduces the study of periphyton, its differences from phytoplankton, and the main groups of microalgae, including cyanophytes. It also covers characterization methods and collection techniques, aimed at those interested in aquatic ecology and ecosystem analysis.
