Participants will explore key structural features such as the theca, plate arrangements, apical pore complexes, sulcal and cingular plates, as well as cyst types and life cycles. The course also covers the identification and classification of thecate and athecate dinoflagellates, providing practical taxonomic keys and criteria for recognizing representative freshwater groups.
